Lambda Instruments is currently developing a wide range of sensor technology for aerospace, defense and scientific applications.
Temperature
In cooperation with <link>Virginia Tech and <link>Vatell Corporation, Lambda Instruments has successfully demonstrated the feasibility of a fiber optic heat flux sensor as part of a <link> Phase II STTR with the Air Force. The prototype sensor is small in size and extremely rugged, able to withstand temperatures up to 2323 K. In addition to aerospace applications, this sensor could potentially be used for fire research, meterology, broadband radiology and materials science research.
